I’ve attended a few LCIR conferences over '25 & '26 and every time - whether in my capacity as an in-person or online attendee, chair, or as a panel presenter - I simply keep learning new, exciting and creative things in my interest areas.
I’ve also enjoyed the smaller, boutiquey, specialist feel to the conferences, which have always led to some incredibly robust discussions - both on and off the presentation panels - by scholars in-and-around my field. Further, the conferences are well-structured, organised, facilitated, and communicated.
Kia kaha LCIR!

It has always been a genuine pleasure to participate in LCIR prestigious and distinguished conferences in London, which provides exceptional opportunities to meet, connect, and engage with researchers and scholars from around the world.
I have greatly valued the opportunity to share my research and perspectives while also learning from the inspiring ideas and experiences of fellow participants. Such prestigious academic events have consistently offered an enriching environment for academic dialogue, collaboration, and professional networking.

We would like to sincerely thank you for the opportunity to participate in the international conference "Somewhere in Between: Borders and Borderlands." It was a highly enriching and well-organised event, offering a stimulating interdisciplinary framework and valuable opportunities for scholarly exchange.
The event has been particularly relevant to our ongoing academic work, and very useful for our career.

Thank you for all the work you put into organizing the conference. It was honestly one of the most well-organized conferences I've attended.
I appreciated how clear and responsive the communication was throughout the entire process. I always knew what was happening, what was expected, and how to prepare. That made the presenting feel completely stress-free!
Thank you for creating such a positive experience for presenters and attendees.

Thank you to all who helped organize and facilitate the Spatiality and Temporality conference. It was wonderful meeting many of you and seeing some of the online presentations. I look forward to future collaborations, and will be sure to submit papers to your future conferences.
Professor Valerie Fryer-Davis, Arcadia University
Thank you to Lena and your team for all your wonderful work to get us together to share our research. While I wished I had been there in person to meet the owners of all those amazing abstracts, Annabel, hosting us online, did a fantastic job. Consider this email a virtual bunch of homegrown flowers 🌻

It was my first conference experience, and I was very happy to be a part of LCIR. I am very grateful that spaces like this exist.
Thank you again for making my first conference experience less nerve wracking and I look forward to many more.

The conference, Myth, Archetypes & Symbols was sponsored by London Centre for Interdisciplinary Research (LCIR). The conference was amazing and inspiring. I felt excited yet calm, and had a loving heart space meeting everyone and hearing their work. It was exciting since it included researchers from the U.K, the U.S., India, Italy, Ireland, Mexico and Poland. Bringing feminist research into narrative exploration was a highlight.

In the last couple of years, I had the pleasure of presenting papers at several LCIR conferences. Their focus has revolved around diverse thematic fields like Medical Humanities, Film Studies, Memory and Trauma, Aesthetics of Decay, Myths-Archetypes-and Symbols, Beyond Labels: Disability, Different Ability and Neurodiversity, Gender Studies, and The Uncanny in Language, Literature and Culture. In the course of these conferences, I have always received strong support and convenient help from the enthusiastic organizing committee, particularly from Dr. Olena Lytovka, and I have also had the opportunity to attend inspiring presentations by colleagues from different countries all around the globe. The LCIR conferences have helped me expand my interdisciplinary academic profile to diverse specialties and consolidate, but also initiate, new approaches to thematically-related disciplines. It is always a pleasure to be an active participant, and I will be delighted to take part in any of the forthcoming events organized by the LCIR staff.
